Events - Book Fair

The Literati Book Fair is coming our way! May 13 – 17, 2024 in the LES Library. Here’s what you need to know:

  • May 13th – 17th in our school library - click "More" for details on timing during and after school.
  • Children will preview the fair during a special class time.
  • Teachers will have wishlist book bins – you can contribute books to classrooms!
  • Payment: cash, Literati Gift Cards, credit and debit cards, and Apple and Google Pay accepted. But we encourage Literati Gift Cards for your kids! It’s easy! With the gift cards, there’s no need to send cash to school. Money can be added anytime throughout the week, but it needs at least one hour to process so please do this step EARLY.
  • Visit our Book Fair Homepage at efairs.literati.com and purchase your gift card(s) before the fair begins!

LES CAMPUS CLEANUP DAY: This Sat., May 11th

Come out for Campus Clean Up Day, this Saturday May 11 at 10am!  Please use this SignUpGenius link to RSVP and/or sign up for volunteer slot/s. 
 
We'll be cleaning up plants and painting some planters, so please wear painting clothes and bring any gloves or garden tools you'd like to use. The SignUpGenius captures your RSVP and the number of people volunteering in your party.  Thank you!
 

Final Run Club is this Friday, 5/10

Check-in: 7:30 - 7:45am

Warm ups: 7:45am
Run/walk: 7:50-8:10 am
Wrap-up/stickers: 8:10 am
Playground opens for school day: 8:15am

Come out to the blacktop Friday morning for fun, fitness, and friends! Open to Lafayette Elementary students, parents, caregivers and staff! Please note, this is not a drop-off situation due to liability restrictions. Students must be accompanied by an adult. Adults may choose to participate in the run/walk or watch/help from sideline. Strollers also welcome!

LPIE Student Art Fair During Our School Open House on May 16th

The LPIE Art Fair, held on May 16 during Open House, is a major highlight of the year for our students. It takes many hands to make this art fair happen, and we need yours! Please take a look at the open volunteer slots on the SignUpGenius; we still have open time slots for both the set-up and take-down for this awesome event. We’ll have snacks and coffee to help keep us going during the set-up. If you have the time, please sign up for more than one slot.  We hope to see you there!
