LafSD & City of Lafayette: Downtown Pathways & Schools Safety Project Survey
Complete a Survey for the Connecting Lafayette Project
The Connecting Lafayette project will enhance safety and access with new dedicated pathways on Topper Lane and School Street. These paths will connect downtown, Lafayette Elementary, Stanley Middle School, and the Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail.
The City is inviting all Lafayette residents to complete an online survey for the project. The survey seeks input on the final iteration of the conceptual designs for the project and will be live until Friday, May 24th. Your input is critical as we get close to finalizing the layout for the pathways. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/connectinglafayette.

New, Reduced School-Zone Speed Limits are on Their Way Across Lafayette!
As your kids return to school this fall, you’ll notice new signs in many locations around Lafayette’s schools showing new slower speed limits. Compliant with state guidance, the new school zone speed limits of 15 mph and 25 mph were adopted by City Council for eligible roadway segments around all of our schools. This effort is intended to enhance the safety of children, parents, and caregivers, while walking and bicycling to school. This map illustrates all of the roadway segments where speed limits will change this summer. Questions can be directed to Patrick Golier, Transportation & Circulation Program Manager.
